QRE Services functions as the liaison, primary window person, between the Suppliers and OEM customers. Our job is to minimize the impact of defective parts received at customer’s location that may affect PPM’s, by means of support for trouble shooting activities of quality issues during root cause analysis problem solving activity.
- Represent your company at the customer’s location (prompt response to issues/concerns).
- Monitor Hold Cage daily for rejected parts to be returned to supplier for failure analysis.
- Review parts rejected by Receiving Inspection by confirming if defects are from the supplier, QEM Assembly, conveyance handling, or Packaging (PC Issue).
- Send Supplier photographs of defective parts for immediate review start in-house sort activity.
- Confirm sort/rework instructions and methods are correct used by third part sort company (QIC).
- Notify Supplier of Line Calls so a sort can begin at supplier’s location.
- Ongoing oversite of temporary personnel and/or team members
deployed from third part sort company during sorts and/or rework activity.
- Investigate quality issues at customer site and facilitate communications for all matters of concerns related to quality, utilizing applicable Inspection Standards, print specs, boundary samples and/or vehicle condition confirmation, to include scrap investigation/monitoring.
- Assist in determining countermeasure effectiveness and next steps to address gaps between part performance and actual.
- Work closely with Quality Management and Quality Specialists (Customer & Companies) to spearhead/support resolutions to Quality concerns.
- Closely monitor problematic parts and notify Supplier when it may be appropriate to submit a NONC, thus preventing a potential QPR to be issued.
- Conduct receiving part inspection of product as allowed (regular product audits with feedback).
- Ongoing update of QRE reports and other reports assigned (daily, weekly, etc.).
- Review QPR/QIR (5-Why) responses to make sure content is complete to ensure QE’s approval.
- Support corrective action development with goal of eliminating repeats of occurrences, assist in Problem Report closure, address past due sort resolution, Process Change coordination, and support investigation at Customer and Company location as needed (deep dive).
- Review PCR documentation for correctness to support first-time approvals.
- Conduct PCR trials.
- Coordination of courier shipments as needed.
- Support best practices deployment.
- Other items as necessary per business needs.
QRE Parts Delivery Service:
vWork with Receiving Inspection to retrieve rejected parts for return to supplier. vPackage up rejected parts and prepare for shipment. vRegistered FedEx User to create shipping labels and provide tracking.
- Additional cost ofpackage material if required. Applies to most small and medium size parts. (FedEx Account Number required).
